We have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Male
  • Bank Support Worker ideally with a full clean driving licence in the Gateshead, Tyne & Wear area. The role will be supporting a gentleman with a Brain Injury.
This role will be working 1 to 4 weeks at a time to accompany client while traveling to different countries along with another staff member

You will support with our client with his rehabilitation programme, to increase his independence. The role will include personal care, therapy exercises as advised by a therapy team, social and leisure outings.

  • We require Male Support Workers due to the occupational requirements of the client making this role compliant with Paragraph 1, Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010

What you'll be working:


This is a Bank position working as and when required predominantly to support during stays away from home which could be between 1 to 4 weeks.


What you will be doing:


  • Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters but taking into consideration cognitive problems
  • Support Client during stays away from home in the UK or overseas
  • Liaise with and support the family as required
  • Assist the client with personal care as needed
  • Supporting the client to use amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events
  • Follow the service user plan as documented for the client
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records
  • Participate in manual handling procedures as specified for the client
  • Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the case manager as appropriate

The company was established in 1994 and is now a successful rehabilitation and case management consultancy, working in close co-operation with the legal profession.

We now have five offices employing around 80 staff. We manage over 400 support workers and provide services to just under 400 clients nationally.


JSP are not an employment agency, we help our clients to recruit their own support workers as part of our case management service, You will be employed directly by the client, however, JSP oversee all aspects of the clients care package on her behalf.
