Working Hours: 180, 216 or 234 monthly hours that will include weekends, evenings and sleep-ins to the meet service needs on a rota basis.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Residential Support Worker to join our Residential Service. We are looking for people who really want to make a difference to young people's lives.

We have 4 Children's Homes in Birmingham and you will be joining supportive and experienced staff teams, working a shift system which involves sleep in duties and weekend working.

You will need to be able to work with young people who can present with complex and challenging behaviours and focus on improving their outcomes.

You will help the young people rebuild relationships, increase their achievements reduce their risks and build on their strengths.

You will encourage and support young people to make steady progress and achieve their full potential to ensure the best outcomes for them.


You may have previous relevant experience of working with young people and families or have worked in a residential setting.

We are looking for people who have the enthusiasm and passion to work with young people and in return we can offer you a comprehensive induction and training package.

A level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare will be funded by Meadows Care and you will be supported throughout your training to gain the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to fulfil the role.


Please note flexibility is essential, as applicants must be able to work on a rota basis which will include weekends, sleepovers and bank holidays.

The role requires flexibility in order to meet the needs and requirements of our model of care.
