Purpose:
We're looking for a talented individual to join our journey as a Procurement & Vendor Management Lead.
In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process, from sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts to ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services.
Your expertise will be crucial in reviewing, standardising, and implementing procedures that streamline processes across the business driving efficiency and effectiveness.
What you will be doing:
- Accountable for all business related activities including Procurement, CRE, Office operations and 3rd party management.
- Drive the identification, development, structuring and closing of complex partnership deals with target partner organisations that deliver enduring value to the business
- Direct the digital venture;s relationships with its third party vendors and partners, overseeing a spend of >USD20.0M per year and responsible for all procurement related work.
- As a member of COO leadership team, provide specific input and guidance on partnerships, corporate development and growth strategy and attend and present procurement and business management strategy at various HSBC and the Fintech's committees and forums. Product owner of the 3rd Party management tribe.
- Lead and coordinate various squads within the Fintech on specific initiatives including legal, procurement, risk/compliance and product.
- Responsible for ensuring that appropriate controls are in place and risks are actively managed relating to third parties
- Monitor and optimize space, seat utilization and allocation and report/escalate issues; Drives Remote working infrastructure and policies.
- Develop and maintain this Fintech's site profile with accurate detail on floor utilization, floor mapping, and site amenities by building
- Ensure optimal delivery of print, mail, storage and shredding services across the site
- Identify opportunities to optimize costs, propose initiatives and lead creation of direct expense plans in partnership with internal functions and teams
- Provide leadership and promote the Fintech's ties with internal and external senior leaders/clients across key businesses, regions and support functions
- Proactive engagement and collaboration with csuite stakeholders internally (e.g. CEO, Group COO, Group Strategy, senior sponsors, etc) and externally with 3rd party suppliers and FinTechs towards building a roadmap for future product and market expansion
Leadership & Teamwork
- Lead on strategic areas within the procurement team, ensuring that the appropriate level of support is provided to these solution sets
- Lead and influence large cross functional teams, often of senior leaders, to develop and deliver the Fintech's partnership plans and activities
- Champion commerciality across partnerships, including providing access to learning opportunities around key strategic initiatives
- Encourage and enable constructive crosscountry and crossbusiness collaboration to ensure the Fintech has consistent partnership approach across all its markets
- Demonstrate customer centricity by thinking and acting beyond product sales and designing strategies with customer in mind
- Adopt and champion the agile ways of working in marketing and participate in business value streams/ crossfunctional teams
- Demonstrate and champion a culture of diversity and inclusion by challenging actions and behaviours that are not consistent with HSBC's policies and/or the best interests of the business and its customers
What you'll need:
- Proven experience in progressive leadership roles in an international setting
- Extensive experience in business development and building relationships from scratch within financial institutions or FinTech
- Demonstrated experience of sourcing and leading large M&A and/or strategic investment opportunities (>USD10.0M)
