We have an exciting opportunity to join The Manchester Film School as a Film School Tutor at UCEN Manchester on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) basis.

The film school resides within the UCEN Creative faculty which consists of 3 nationally acclaimed schools:
The UCEN School of Art, Media and Make-Up, The Arden School of Theatre, and The Manchester Film
School.

With unique and innovative pedagogical approaches, the faculty is a creative eco-system where students can collaborate, thrive, and evolve their talents at our brand new £90 million campus in the heart of Manchester, equipped with specialist film studios, theatres, design suites, recording studios, and much more to whet students' appetites for the creative industry.


As a tutor at The Manchester Film School you will plan, design, and deliver Level 5 curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.

Film and TV experience is desirable, along with proficiency in advanced hardware and software. Knowledge of industry-standard software like AVID and Da Vinci Resolve is an advantage. You must be physically fit for manual labour, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Flexibility required for potential weekend and evening work. Full driving license and comfort driving a long-wheelbase (LWB) van are necessary.


As a Film School Tutor you will provide supervision of your curriculum area, ensuring that you meet budget, quality and operational targets.

You will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment in order for your students to succeed.

In your role you will plan, lead and develop the curriculum area within the establishment to ensure compliance with the national curriculum framework, the integration of functional skills, best practice and quality targets.


In order to do this, you will need:

  • English and Maths
  • must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2
Salaries are based on skills, qualifications and experience.
