Description

We have an opportunity for a six month fixed term contract to become a Temporary Housing Portfolio Officer in Hampshire.

This is a role that wears many hats.

You'll be working closely with the local authority in the Test Valley area to help place often vulnerable customers into temporary housing.

There are approximately 100 properties in the portfolio and you'll be responsible for viewings, receiving nominations, housing management, community visits, ASB and customer accounts.

So your existing housing management experience will be really important to this role to make it successful.

You'll meet with the Resettlement Team of the local authority on a fortnightly basis, discussing current nominations, any issues and concerns.

You may become involved in child protection cases so being confident to perform the required role will be a must.

About you
You'll be able to bring your varied housing management skills and experience to the role. You will be able to demonstrate previous experience working with vulnerable and challenging customers.

You will be a great communicator, able to build strong relationships quickly so that you can retain a good working partnership with the local authority.

You will be thorough in your process and a confident CRM user, keeping strong records and knowing when to include others in your discussions.

You'll typically work with the local authority virtually, but you will need to be out and about in the community for visits so having access to a vehicle and a full UK driving licence will be required.
