The Team

The Student Recruitment and Widening Participation Team (SRWP) play an integral role in recruiting students to the University as well as providing high-level impartial advice and support to students from underrepresented groups within Higher Education, via the delivery of a number of focused projects.

The team consists of 11 staff members and a large number of Student Ambassadors.

The Role
The


EOC:

Widening Participation role contributes to the inception, coordination, delivery and evaluation of targeted projects which work with student groups underrepresented in Higher Education.

The post-holder must maintain multiple key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with many of our WP Projects requiring collaborative work with other HEIs and agencies.

The role requires the delivery of engaging workshops and presentations to a variety of audiences.

The post-holder will also support Student Recruitment events and projects and will promote the University at large-scale fairs across the country.

There will be some evening and weekend work and a willingness to drive hire cars to attend events.

Required skills and experience
The


EOC:

Widening Participation post-holder should have experience of working with WP audiences and an awareness of the issues which may prevent people accessing or aspiring to HE.

The post-holder would benefit from experience of planning and delivering aspiration and awareness raising projects. They should be confident and organised.
The role requires an enhanced DBS check.
