IT SUPPORT ANALYST - Aberdeen
Role Overview


Underpinning the success of Pinsent Masons' expansion and success is an established Technology Department who ensure their staff are sufficiently supported and equipped to carry out their roles to an optimum using the latest technologies and software.

We currently have a vacancy for an IT Support Analyst in our Aberdeen office.

As the only onsite IT support for this office the role is mainly office based, but there is scope for some flexibility from home and office.


You will be working as part of a wider IT support team where cross collaboration is key, AV support will be required looking after the offices internal meeting rooms and supporting just over 50 staff in the Aberdeen office.

Remote cover across the otherUK offices and occasional cover for our European offices will also be required.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and maintenance of all IT related hardware and systems daily.
This can range from configuring laptops and mobile phonesto resolving system or software conundrums.

The role will also facilitate involvement in several project rollouts including our latest Modern Workplace programme to bring transformational change across our business.

This involves implementing an Office 365desktop and additional modern technology to improve internal productivity, client working relationships and professional engagement using market leading digital tools and services.


We also have an IT Service Desk both in the UK and Australia providing 24/7 support, ensuring that all IT issues are logged in the first instance.

Calls will only be escalated to the local teams where they cannot be resolved over the telephone and a TechnicalServices team will also be available to assist with more complex issues or major incidents out of core hours.


Ideally, we are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for people, IT and problem solving who may be looking for their first position in a 2nd line role.

In addition to this, you will have the following skills and qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 GCSE Grades or equivalent, including Maths and English Level
  • Technology based NVQ, HNC or BTEC qualification
  • This will be a customer facing role so good communication is a must.
  • Someone with a strong sense of what it takes to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Enthusiastic, willing to learn and passionate about a career in Technology.
  • Organised and methodical, with the ability to work to targets and goals.
