Page Personnel are working with a Not-for-Profit and Charities organisation based in Nottingham, in their search for a permanent Assistant Financial Accountant to join their team due to experiencing recent growth.

Description

The Assistant Financial Accountant will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller and support the Senior Finance team to ensure appropriate financial controls and to further develop systems and processes.

More specifically, the Assistant FinancialAccountant will be required to:

Reconcile all payroll accounts, dealing with payroll queries, including HMRC and pension queries
Process the adjustments to the Management Accounts which includes journals for accruals, prepayments, and deferred income
Calculation and processing of recharges
Month end reconciliations, including production of trail balance and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Update the fixed asset register monthly
Support the finance leadership team to manage the purchase and sales ledger functions
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

Profile

Be AAT Level 3 qualified (as a minimum)
Have experience working in a NotforProfit or Public Sector Finance setting
Have experience with Financial Management and Accounting Systems
Have a good working knowledge of the month end process with practical experience
Have an ability to work accurately, with meticulous attention to detail
Have an ability to prioritise workloads
Be an excellent communicator both written and verbal
Be committed to selfdevelopment
