UCT - Cambridge Fluid Solutions

We are the semiconductor industry's one-stop solution for gas delivery solutions, from initial design to final shipment to customers.
We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic individual looking to pursue their career in a fast-paced environment.

You will utilise your strong communication skills to work confidently with internal and external customers, assisting in the general operations within the purchasing department.


As our Buyer you will have strong Excel and administration skills with proven experience either as a Buyer or with a strong administrative background.

You will be a fast learner, able to work well at full capacity and you will be confident and proactive with suppliers, not afraid of any challenge that may arise.


What can you expect from the role?

  • Experience with Vendor Management is essential.
  • Negotiate contracts, improved prices, terms of business and agreements with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings.
  • Quarterly supplier visits mainly UK based.
  • Run shortages reports to capture all order changes.
  • Consistent supplier contact to ensure efficient flow of product to match demand, ensuring quality, delivery, pricing, and all contractual obligations are met.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers.
  • Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible.
  • Update the Sales Team with delivery schedules.
  • Updating the Sales Boards with Supply Information.
  • Ensuring Purchase Orders are sent and received by the vendors.
  • Adding order acknowledgement information to MRP system.
  • Adhoc helping the stores team.
  • Chase Vendors for delivery information.
  • Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.

£35,000.00 per year
