Finance Officer / Just outside of Lewes- Hybrid Working
Client Details
My client is a well-established firm based on the outskirts of Lewes.
They are looking for a Finance Officer to join the team on a permanent basis, working both in the office and remotely.
Description
As the Finance Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintain the Sales and Purchase Ledgers for the central budget, ensuring timely payment of invoices.
- Carry out month end Balance Sheet reconciliations for the central budget, and produce draft management accounts on an accruals basis.
- Prepare VAT returns.
- Assist with preparation and consolidation of reports and reconciliations across multiple budgets.
- Liaise with finance colleagues over budgets, management accounts and forecasts.
- Act as a central point of contact for auditors.
- Administer access to shared documents and online software.
- Receive and input staff changes onto the payroll system, checking for completeness and liaising with line managers as required.
Profile
- Experience working at a similar level, supporting monthend.
- Welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with a range of people face to face, on the phone and online
- Accurate data entry with attention to detail in all areas of work
- Able to use Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel & Word to manage meetings, create reports, and establish/manipulate spreadsheets
Job Offer
