Senior Buyer.
This role will support the team to ensure all buying and any relevant projects are in line with Procurement strategy to deliver bottom line savings, procured goods on time and ensuring day-to-day continuity of service to the business through strong supplier management.
LOCATION:
Nottingham.
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS:
Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Cambridgeshire.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- You will support buying through approved suppliers and approved purchasing routes.
- Support supply chain management to ensure XMA receives excellent service from relevant suppliers at all levels.
- Building, maintaining and improving strong internal and external relationships including attendance of supplier review meetings.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of all regulatory requirements as well as ensuring all sourcing activity is compliant with the support of the Supply Chain Manager.
- You will also provide senior procurement administration support to the wider business including pre and post award of contracts.
REQUIREMENTS:
This role will suit someone who is a
Procurement specialist with experience of leading a commercial procurement team or supplier relationship leadership including working towards team objectives and targets.
- Substantial experience in a Procurement or stock management role.
- Previous experience of a commercial procurement team including working towards team objectives and targets.
- Outstanding communication and able to influence at all levels
- Strong relationship management both with internal customers, stakeholders & suppliers
