Working within a team of Trainers, the post holder will deliver and further develop violence, aggression and challenging behaviour training programmes for all care professionals in the Trust, in line with our agreed mandatory training strategy.
This will include supporting theory and skills assessments, continued development of a robust competency framework and assisting with the regular review of skill mix and care needs.
In addition, you will work directly within the clinical area, advising and supporting the development of staff competency and confidence in managing challenging situations.
You will therefore need to be an excellent practitioner who is seen as a role model.- Inform and lead on mandatory training requirements for the whole Trust

- To work regularly with the care team within the clinical rota, role modelling, advising, and supporting their development of competency and confidence

- Demonstrate a high degree of evidencebased knowledge and act as a role model by participating in learning activity across the service
- Provide expert knowledge to support Teams in maintaining a safe clinical environment, while also developing the competence and confidence of the care team
- Assess and evaluate training regularly to ensure best practice is maintained within local and national guidelines
- Evaluate learning activities to identify and inform future practice

- To be competent in presenting and leading teaching and training in a variety of settings and to a variety of audiences both clinical and nonclinical.
- Knowledge and Information Resources
- To keep up to date with areas of clinical practice informing the service of all changes
- Responsible for providing accurate and complete data to maintain the training database as appropriate and produce monthly reports as requested
- To be computer literate and able to work with a variety of internet based packages/models
- To participate in networking, professional updates and benchmarking to maintain a current knowledge of professional issues
- To maintain a Personal Development Portfolio, in line with Trust Policy and Professional Registration
- To actively promote the workplace as a learning environment encouraging everyone to learn from each other and from external good practice.
- Contribute to identification of relevant and monitoring of quality standards and assessments
