In a role which is fundamental to Zenergi and its ethos, as the Procurement Specialist your primary purpose is to delight customers by supporting them through the contract renewal process for their energy supplies and related services.

To positively promote our services and demonstrate our value through providing reliable service on a consistent basis, bringing the renewal forward wherever possible and reasonable.

We are looking for someone who is a self-motivated, target driven and thrives under pressure. You must be commercially minded and a strong relationship builder, with experience negotiating with suppliers and customers.


Primary duties:


Procurement

  • Renewal of a varied portfolio of group customers, as well as contributing to team targets and activity.
  • Consultative sales approach ensuring we are delighting our customers by addressing their needs.
  • Match customer requirements with appropriate product offerings, including crosssell of related products.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely pricing, including producing relevant documentation for signature and providing insights on price, service and market updates.
  • Manage the acceptance process and support successful registration of supplies (including objection process).
  • Promote, sell and participate in buying groups where relevant and appropriate.
  • Continuously review your portfolio to identify opportunities, risks, and successes.
  • Maintain up to date records using the appropriate systems and processes including notice of termination, nontermination fees and lost records.
  • Demonstrate high retention rates and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Support the customer with Governors or board presentations as required.
  • Actively identify new business opportunities within your portfolio.
  • Work in collaboration with the service team and where relevant act as a point of contact for the customer.
  • Complete data protection, data integrity and GDPR checks as required.
  • Comply with updates to company procedures as a result of technology upgrades, process improvements, industry regulations, etc.
  • Assist on the collection of nonpayments of Zenergi invoices.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

Essential Skills_**- Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy of work whilst operating in what can at times be a high pressured and fast paced environment
  • Ability to establish and build rapport and relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage objections and challenges to a positive outcome with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders to a positive outcome.

_Desirable_

  • Ability to visit customers at their premises or other suitable location, when required.

_Essential _Knowledge**- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of business and commercial acumen when dealing with customers and stakeholders.


_ Desirable_

  • Understanding of both gas and electricity supplies and experience working in the industry.
  • Full and valid UK driving license.

_Essential Experience_

  • Experience working to targets associated with the delivery of your role.
  • Experience working in a salesbased role.

_Desirable_

  • Experience working in the utilities industry.
  • Experience using customer relationship management systems in a customerfacing role.
