We are currently recruiting for a Weighbridge Operative to join the team at our Middleton Quarry, Durham, This role will be reporting into the Quarry Manager.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Weighing in and out of materials and recording all necessary information for invoicing.
  • Directing goods inwards to correct stockpile/location
  • Control the entry to site of all customers, lorries and visitors
  • Record time of dispatch and return of trucks bringing raw materials to site
  • Ensure the general working of the weighbridge area, including the upkeep and cleanliness of equipment and workstations.
  • Following training, you will undertake a variety of site inspections (Environmental and/or Health and Safety), reporting defects and issues to the site manager
  • Take telephone orders from customers/record orders in diary
  • Keep customers aware of any delays
  • Ensure customer accounts are in order before customer permitted to load
