Hours: 37.5 hours/Mon-Fri - Permanent

Location:
Hybrid working (office in Sutton Coldfield, 2-3 days, and remote working)

An organisation that helps others This not-for-profit organisation is looking to recruit an experienced Debt Adviser to join the Operations department.

The Debt Adviser will support and assist people with handling their problem debt to improve their financial situation and wellbeing.

Offering support and advice in income maximisation, financial capability, energy comparison, welfare benefit and specialist debt advice to clients who come through to us from contracts we win to deliver this specialist area of work.

What you will need to succeed:

The successful Debt Adviser will have the ability:

To be able to successfully manage own workload, administration, and diary commitments
To have an indepth and up to date understanding of debt advice
To have knowledge of services provided by the NHS, social care, trust funds and/ or debt services
To have effective active listening techniques
To be able to understand and encourage others to contribute and debate ideas
To have adaptable people skills both in formal and informal situations
To have high level verbal, written and presentation skills
To have attention to detail
To be enthusiastic and resilient
To have the ability to monitor and maintain own performance targets
To have the ability to work under pressure and plan own caseload/service levels
To have experience of the DRO process as an approved intermediary
You will require an enhanced DBS check for this role

What you will get in return:

A competitive salary of up to £27,500 dependant on qualifications, skills, and experience
Office hours between 9:00am 17:00pm
