Our Internal Communications team is central in helping Sovereign fulfil its ambitions.

We develop and deliver communications that help our colleagues feel connected to the organisation, positively influencing behaviours and engagement, and resulting in improvedorganisational performance and customer satisfaction.


We're looking for an
Internal Communications Content Leadto join our team based at our head office in Basingstoke with flexibility to combine some remote working.

We're open to considering part time options for this role, working 34 hoursor more per week.


What you'll be doing


You'll work closely with our Internal Communications Specialist and Head of Communications to both develop and support the delivery of Sovereign's internal communications plan.

This is a varied role with your main responsibilities including:

  • Creating engaging and relevant content for different audiences, working with colleagues around the business to support and advise them on the best ways to get their messages across
  • Leading internal communication projects, liaising with and managing internal customers, ensuring that they are kept informed of progress and outcomes
  • Coordinating the communication content activity across all channels and chairing editorial meetings
  • Managing the production and delivery of internal content, including producing digital employee newsletters using the Poppulo platform and creating content for Workplace by Facebook and our SharePoint intranet
  • Working closely with colleagues from the Corporate Affairs and People team, to support the development and delivery of employee events, including roadshows, conferences, and digital / inperson briefings and feedback sessions

What we need from you

  • You should have demonstrable experience in internal communications, plus familiarity with intranet content management systems and newsletter tools, ideally SharePoint and Poppulo
  • We're looking for an excellent writer to produce engaging content and identify opportunities to maximise reach across target audiences
  • You'll need confidence in building relationships with a variety of stakeholders and the ability to effectively prioritise workloads to deadlines
  • This role also coordinates communications content so you'll need to be highly organised and a good planner
  • Experience in video production and editing would be preferable, although not essential
