Head of IT Security or Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

The role of
Head of IT Security is a new and exciting senior role within the IT department, reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer.
- Require strong leadership skills, as you will recruit, build, guide and inspire a new security team. This is a real opportunity to shape the organisations security function.
- Be responsible for protecting all the information assets by defining the vision and setting and implementing the strategy for IT risk management, information security and cyber security.
- Have a understanding on how to keep abreast of any current and emerging cyber security threats is a critical part of the role.
- Need to have expert knowledge of cyber security frameworks and best practices, for example ISO27001 and NIST
- Have good communication and collaboration skills are a must as a cybersavvy workforce needs to be established and senior management need to be understanding of security threats.
The IT department of 45, support 7000 users across 900 locations, comprising of a comprehensive IT infrastructure delivering several line-of-business systems which reach out to all staff.
