The Supported Housing Improvement Programme (SHIP) is a Government Funded programme which aims to improve the standards of support for those living in supported housing and deliver value for money.

Sunderland have secured funding for two years which has allowed the Council to deliver a project to improve the quality of supported housing.


The project will inspect supported housing schemes throughout the city and devise and implement actions to improve the offer of support and ensure it is fit for purpose and offers value for money to the public purse.


As Monitoring Officer, you will liaise with providers of supported housing schemes to investigate the support offer provided to residents, implement action plans where support standards are not met and develop frameworks to provide assurance.

You will have experience of working in the support sector, ideally within supported housing, and will have experience including:
Development and implementation of delivery plans and needs assessments in relation to support needs and standards

The ability to develop performance matrices to identify poor performance and ways of driving improvement

Experience of compiling and monitoring statistical returns

Ability to create good relationships with providers of supported housing schemes to encourage early engagement with the local authority

You will possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You will have a real passion for delivering high-quality support services.


Applicants will have experience of working within the Support Sector and be aware of what quality support looks like and associated service standards.

Salary:
£26,845.00-£29,439.00 per year
