Loganair operates a comprehensive network of scheduled and charter flights around the United Kingdom and Europe.

It continues to grow, and it now has around 850 members of staff, in various departments, including, Engineering, Flight Operations, Ground and Customer Services, Safety and Compliance, Commercial, Finance and Operations.

We have stations throughout the United Kingdom.

Applications are now invited for the role of Company Driver based at Aberdeen Airport.

The purpose of the role will be to provide logístical support to the Flight Operation primarily, transporting members of staff around the network.

In addition, the driver will collect and deliver aircraft components to the engineering stations in the network.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Company Driver provides essential logístical support to the operation.

The primary focus of the role is to transport pilots and cabin crew around the network, so that they can commence a shift or return them to their base or home, after a shift has been completed.

A large part of this work will be known in advance and the timings of the driving requirements will be communicated to the Driver in advance.

However, where a member of staff is required at short notice, for example, to cover a shift where a colleague has reported sick, the Driver will be required to react timeously to the call from Operations and endeavour to transport replacement staff to the required location.

To assist the delivery of the operation, the Company Drivers will be required to transport and deliver documentation, equipment etc., to specific aircraft and Crew Rooms, as required by the business.

Working Pattern
The Company Drivers work a shift pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off, recurring cycle. Each shift is 12 hours in duration.

On work days, the shift would commence at the time the driver started their first journey of the day. This would frequently be communicated well in advance, to give the Driver forward notice of the duty.

Where there has not been driving work planned for the day, the Company Driver would report for work at 8am and liaise with Operations and then Stores, to then be assigned driving requirements for the day.

Key Skills and Attributes

DVLA UK Full Driving License
No criminal convictions that would prevent being issued an airside security pass
Focus on providing excellent logístical support to the operation
Focus on supporting the recovery and maintenance of aircraft
Ability to communicate easily with a wide range of people
Punctual and willing to provide fastresponse service when required
Flexible and accepting that not all driving shifts can be planned in advance, comfortable with providing a reactive service where necessary
