The Job


Joining the London office, the Business Development Manager - EU & Ireland, will work with key Group functions to develop a robust governance framework of the management of relationships with key EU &/or Irish Intermediary accounts.

Regular travel for thisrole is required with a hybrid working model on offer.


Responsibilities

  • Build strong internal relationships with all relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally to create an open environment for good communication.
  • Help to build sustainable, profitable business inflows for all relevant services / "product lines" as aligned with the International Intermediary strategy and consistent with growth of the business channel.
  • Maintain an awareness of market conditions and be flexible and able to adapt to business and regulatory changes.
  • Assist in the development of new propositions, working closely with colleagues across the group to assist in increasing the number of and quality of Intermediary relationships in the EU and Ireland.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key accounts, be the main contact for eventsled marketing initiatives or equivalent engagement opportunities on behalf of the Group.
  • Provide representation on Group forums, committees, strategy where required.
  • Be involved with the wider Business Development Strategy and communicate regularly with the Intermediary Senior management team. Update / maintain a database on existing and developing Intermediary relationships Share ideas and best practice to supportengagement and AUM growth with the firms.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Investment Management team to develop, deliver, and maintain collateral, advertorial where appropriate etc
  • Work with external providers (platforms, life companies, 3rd party software providers etc ) to promote Group services, where appropriate.
  • Achieve long term, mutually beneficial relationships with IFAs that deliver profitable and sustainable flows in line with targets for the department.
  • Work with the wider Group team to deliver against strategic initiatives and to execute the strategy across existing and new relationships.
  • You agree to comply with any reasonable instructions or regulations issued by the Company from time to time including those set out in the terms of the dealing and other manuals, including staff handbooks and all other group policies.

Skills/ Qualifications

  • Key distinction of position level
  • Evidence of working successfully in a similar role, or experience in fund sales / asset management via IFA partnerships is essential
  • Technical knowledge must have;
  • Strong market knowledge of the Irish / EU Intermediary market
  • Presentation skills and significant experience presenting to groups of IFAs
  • Current interaction and working relationships with Key Players in the EU & Irish intermediary markets
  • Exams and BD requirements
  • Should be level 4 qualified or equivalent
  • Preferably working towards level
  • Communication skills excellent written, verbal & presentation skills
  • Stakeholder / relationship management experience including previous work with IFAs
