Unit Manager required.

My client is a well-respected Health Care Provider with 6 care communities across the North-West, with over a decade of experience they have been providing specialist care to people living with Alzheimers, mental health issues, alcoholand drug dependencies and with the need for rehabilitation.

Christian values are important to my client, and they guide everything they do when putting resident needs at the heart of what they do.

This service is 150 beds in total; each separate unit is 30beds' and each unit has a unit manager, nurses and care staff who work only on that unit building small family like environments.

This service looks after older adults with dementia and nursing needs.

Unit Manager Duties:

  • Provide nursing care under the direction of the Manager in accordance with current best practice, and according to legislative requirements and all policy, procedures, and agreed standards.
  • Develop the Care Planning activities for residents, to meet their changing needs and in collaboration with their family and friends (where appropriate) and members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure the care needs of residents are met in a way that respects their dignity and privacy, providing personcentred care that promotes independence and choice.
  • Undertake all aspects of medicine management in line with legal, professional and regulatory requirements
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support

Unit Manager Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with Valid Pin
  • Excellent knowledge of all Standards and NMC code of practice
  • Proven track record of personcentred care planning
  • Experienced leader and mentor
  • A passion for delivering high standards of care
