Description
Civils Gangs (2 person) required in Somerset to work on the Openreach network.


Civils Gang

In your role you will be responsible for:

  • Excavating in the highways and complying with NRSWA Code of Practice 1991 and HSG4
  • Installing new ducts and chambers (Track & box) (DL1)
  • Clearing blockages (DB1)
  • Rod, Rope and Testing (K8)
  • Box Building (BB1M & BB1B)
  • Compliance with Specification for Reinstatement of Openings in Highways (SROH)
  • Communications with internal and external customers and maintaining a positive, professional image of the company.
You will have the following qualifications and be able to prove experience and competence:

  • Must hold a full UK driving license for at least 12 months
  • Hold valid NRSWA street works Operative units
  • Competent in the use of mechanical Civils equipment


  • Openreach craft Skills

  • SA006/SA002 etc.
  • Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety

Salary:

RATE CARD

Job Types:
Full-time, Freelance


Pay:
£500.00-£600.00 per day


Schedule:

  • Day shift
