Offer recruiting managers help and advice on the correct completion of the recruitment process in its entirety including shortlisting process e.g.

provide advice on Livewells responsibilities under the Disability Standard, and interviewing e.g. assessment and selection methods.

Keep up-to-date with organisational recruitment issues and provide specialist advice on hard to recruit posts and effective and innovative recruitment solutions, liaising with the Managers to obtain appropriate authorisation for external advertising.


Capacity plan recruitment team resource across the team and provide an effective work allocation model to ensure an even and fair distribution of work.

Attend Modern Matrons, Departmental and other recruitment related meetings in order to obtain feedback on current staffing situation, seeking to resolve any issues that are raised for both substantive staffing and temporary resource.

To continually review and look to improve internal processes and procedures including any developments to update the recruitment process.

To utilise measurement and tracking tools on all recruitment activity reporting against timescales and quantity ensuring the analysis effectively directs future recruitment activities.


Promote equality of opportunity in the role and all aspects and stages of the recruitment and selection process, ensuring fair and equal treatment of all applicants to posts.

5.1Responsibility for People Management The post holder will be responsible for the induction of new team members.

The post holder will be responsible for the line management of junior staff, providing day-to-day management and supervision, absence management and appraisal.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the recruitment process runs smoothly.

The post holder may be responsible for the delivery of training within their scope of expertise. 5.2Responsibility for financial and/or physical resources The post holder will be responsible for goods/equipment and its security. The post holder will be responsible for stock control within the team scope of practice. 5.3Responsibility for administration Ensure electronic/ paper documents are up-to-date and stored as per record keeping policy.

Responsible for developing training packs, presentation, leaflets and hand-outs.

Liaising with outside stakeholders under the guidance of the Resourcing and Retention Manager Ensure that the Sponsorship licences in line with UK Visas and Immigration legislation is current.

To be up to date with the current workings and information on the Home Office UK border Agency legislation for recruitment To have a working knowledge of all policies attributed to the recruitment process.

5.4Responsibility for people who use our services Responsible for giving advice and support to members of the public over the phone, face-to-face and digitally.

Responsible for management and facilitation of the recruitment service for our staff and stakeholders. Required to attend external events, speaking to members of the public or event administration. May be required to present information at steering groups, forums, events, seminars and conferences.

5.5Responsibility for implementation of policy and/or service developments The post holder will contribute to service development and implement changes to established working processes as appropriate.

The post holder may be responsible for writing policies, procedures and guidance documents.
