About the Role


We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us at a period of significant growth and transformation within the Society.

We are looking to recruit a finance business partner, on a 12 month fixed contract.


The role is a key contributor in providing services to the Group in the areas of monthly/annual accounting, budgeting and forecasting reporting.

The role is underpinned by establishing a key business partner working relationship providing insightful and value added financial reporting, analysis, and interpretation.


About You
We are looking for an experienced finance business partner to join the team.

You will have a strong background in private sector financial business partnering, with experience in working alongside senior leaders across an organisation to help deliver both localised and group wide purpose and strategy.


Budget/forecast reporting experience is essential, with an ability to identify and report on key financial activities and trends, alongside a natural inclination to constructively challenge colleagues across all levels.


You will need to be a confident communicator whether this is over the phone, face to face or in writing.

Your relationship building and influencing skills will also play a key role in your ongoing success in building strong collaborative relationships within the Group Finance function and across the wider Group.

A professional accountancy qualification is desirable but not essential.


The role is fluid in nature, however there are key financial deadlines to deliver to, so you must have an organised approach, have the ability to prioritise requests, produce accurate end output, with an ability to adapt quickly to change.

We are currently part way through a transformation programme and are investing in four new exciting roles as we continue to shape, build and strengthen our core finance function.


The Group Financial Control function are ultimately responsible for the production of Group management and statutory accounts ensuring reporting information provided is accurate, timely, and supports key financial and operational decisions.


There is also a focus on ensuring a high level of service is provided to both internal and external stakeholders, primarily in connection with finance partnering, colleague and 3rd party payments, and coordinating the annual budget & rolling forecast setting process.

Group Financial Control is part of the Group Finance function.

Group Finance comprises a number of teams, which cover all things financial for the group including preparation of Statutory and Regulatory Reporting, Management Accounts, Budgeting and Forecasting, Payment of Suppliers, Payroll, Business Information, and providing Treasury Operations to the Society.

£43,001.00-£54,729.00 per year
