- 65823The Accounts Assistant will assist and work directly with the Finance Director and will primarily be responsible for the purchase and sales ledger functions alongside carrying out credit control and payroll duties. Close attention to detail, honesty and integrity are essential for this role and there are opportunities for progression within the business. The role is hybrid with the chance to work for home if wanted.
- Matching, batching and coding purchase invoices
- Carrying out supplier statement reconciliations and supporting with the payment runs
- Setting up new suppliers
- Raising sales ledger invoices and allocating outstanding monies to the ledger
- Managing credit limits and negotiating on payment plans
- Processing expenses and managing petty cash
- Assisting with the payroll process and dealing with queries
- Preparing online banking payments as required
- Assisting the finance team and the wider business when needed
Based in Wakefield, this role is easily commutable from surrounding areas such as Barnsley, Castleford, Dewsbury and all areas of Leeds.
The company also has free parking and is also easily accessible via public transport from all areas of West Yorkshire.
To be successful in this Accounts Assistant role you will ideally have/be:- Previous experience of a busy, varied transactional finance role or will have purchase ledger experience
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A hands on approach and will be happy to help in all areas of accounts when needed
- Strong attention to detail and will be able to meet multiple deadlines under strict deadlines
- Computer literate and have experience using MS Excel
