This job is to provide administrative business support for the EPR team, monitoring work requests and compliance.


As a Business Support Officer, you will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with the ability to co-ordinate and support key project and service activities across our Digital teams.

The hours of work will be full time, flexible working will be considered with the option of blended work.

Having good organisational and communications skills are essential, being a proactive team member who can work autonomously.

Good experience with MS teams/Excel.

These will be most dramatic at Watford General Hospital where up to 90% of buildings will be new.

  • Working with all team members and Head of EPR Adoption & Optimisation, coordinate the information and outputs for measuring the Key Performance Indicators for the service and team project
  • Works on own initiative within the team, improving administrative processes to enable the smooth running of the tea
  • Provide teams with project management support, coordinating activities as needed
  • Input, monitor and check a range of data, required for service delivery and ongoing project
  • Support with recruitment activity including the coordination of interviews and assessment
  • Manage diaries for the department, including arranging and amending appointments and meetings, prioritising these as appropriate
  • Undertake all administrative duties that are required including managing and arranging, taking meetings for Change leads and Head of EPR
  • Run and collate reports to managers, senior management and external customer
  • Develop and maintaining effective electronic systems, to ensure that information is kept securely and is accessible to other members of the tea
  • Prepare agendas, take actions and notes including typing up of group discussions and interviews as necessar
  • Coordinate activity across a range of initiatives to all team members, managers and senior managers across the to support a range of initiative
  • Supply the relevant information required for financial management, supporting the Head of Services and managers by checking and sending invoices for payment and support with procurement activit
  • Organise and plan events as necessary including the development of any supporting information or material
  • Support service with communications and ensuring timely communications are shared trust wide on all projects
  • Provide guidance and advice on access Workflows within EPR and coordinate the reviewing of workflows by relevant teams, this may include organising multidisciplinary meetings or cross divisional meetings
  • Support the development of business cases, sourcing information and implementing business policies that impact the EPR/Digital transformation across the trust
  • Keeps records of team sickness and records annual leave, working days etc
