Job Role:

The purpose of the Compliance Supervisor role is to support the technical team in all technical and compliance aspects within the account.

The role will support the mechanical and pressure responsible engineer for the account and will be expected to manage the completion of inspections, mechanical operations and be an appointed person for pressure systems.

The compliance supervisor will support the compliance manager in ensuring compliance tasks are conducted and reported across all disciplines.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Supporting all aspects of the accounts technical and compliance responsibilities;

  • Ensure statutory compliance is met with all the account's services and assets. Supporting the Compliance Manager in arranging inspections, maintenance, and subsequent remedial actions in alignment with written schemes and set frequencies.
  • To be appointed as Pressure Systems AP, conducting isolations and shutdowns when required.
  • Managing appointed 3rd party contractors onsite, supporting compliance aspects and delivery of services (Insurance inspectors, PSSR, L8, LOLER, F-Gas etc.).
  • To conduct compliance lookahead, arrange inspections/tasks, and ensure completion of relevant compliance documentation is held within depositaries (Prime, logbooks, CMMS etc).
  • Technical support to the operations team with issues, breakdowns, and procedures.
  • To provide regular compliance reports to stakeholders.
  • To ensure logbooks are always up to date and audit ready. Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance.
  • To attend training and actively engage with development.

Education:


  • Desirable to be time served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent. Extensive experience considered as an alternative.

Training

  • Member of or working towards membership and professional registration with an institute (e.g. IET, IMechE).
  • Technical training qualifications in various mechanical engineering aspects. (Pressure systems AP, BOAS boiler operator/manager, L8, HVAC, F-Gas).
  • Recognised H&S qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH).

Experience

  • Proven experience of managing isolations and works around pressure systems.
  • Extensive computer literacy skills (excel, word, powerpoint, visio etc).
