Description

A global manufacturer of complex components to the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence and Energy sectors has a new opportunity for a CNC Grinder to join the team.

You will be responsible for setting and operating a range of CNC/Manual controlled machinery. Thisrole is working on a double days shift pattern.

Commutable from:
Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Alfreton, Mansfield, Sutton In Ashfield.

Salary:
£ 28,000 - £ 32,760 p.a. + benefits

Suitable For:
CNC Grinder, Cylindrical Grinder, CNC Operator, Setter / Operator.

The Role
Producing high quality precision machined components to tight tolerances

Setting and operating a range of CNC/ manual Cylindrical Grinding machines

Able to make fine adjustments to CNC machines to produce accurate components and complete the manufacturing process.

Checking the quality of components product throughout the batch cycle

Recording quantities and time taken to machine parts

Carry out regular maintenance of the machines as per company schedules.

Ensure high standards of quality to exceed your customers' expectations.

Working to tight tolerances

Maintain and promote safe working practices and policies whilst engaged in your daily role.

The Person
Experience setting and operating a variety of CNC/manual Cylindrical Grinding machines

Must be proficient in using Fanuc/ Siemens machine controls

Grinding of external and internal diameters to close tolerances

Experienced producing high-quality components to tight drawing tolerances

Minimum 5 years CNC & Manual Cylindrical grinding experience

Must be able to work a double days shift pattern

Apprentice trained or time served engineer

Experience working in precision engineering environment (aerospace, energy, automotive)

Understanding of continuous improvement philosophies.
