JOB DESCRIPTION


AK Teaching are in partnership with a brilliant SEN School in Middlesbrough who are recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with their disengaged young people.


This schools caters for up to 85 students, and specialises in Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH), including ASD & ADHD.

This is a full time position beginning after Easter long term, Monday

  • Friday 8:30am3:30pm.

JOB ROLE

  • Assisting with preparing the classroomlearning environment and maintaining the learning resources and environment
  • Assisting with planning activities and preparing materials to help children access the curriculum.
  • Leading and supporting class, group and individual activities, indoors and outdoors, including during teachers' PPA and noncontact time.
  • Assist in monitoring children's progress, assessing achievement and recording results and observations, sharing outcomes with the class teacher.

JOB CANDIDATE

  • 2x references.
  • A valid DBS or willing to obtain.
  • Previous schoolbased experience.
  • Minimum Level 4 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning.

Salary:
£90.00-£100.00 per day


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
