Bringing fresh and diverse perspectives, you will integrate into the Division of Neuroscience, one of the three constituent divisions of The School of Medicine and Population Health, and join a multidisciplinary team of researchers within the Division and the associated NIHR Sheffield Biomedical Research Centre (BRC).

As a world leading centre for research and training, the NIHR Sheffield BRC is keen to attract and cultivate the most promising academic researchers.

Focused on the pull-through of lab-based discoveries into early phase clinical trials, the NIHR Sheffield BRC brings together outstanding scientists from The University of Sheffield and clinical disciplines at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to reduce the translational gap between research ideas and the development of new treatments, diagnostics and medical technologies.


Your work will support crucial national activities and provide rich opportunities for collaborations with other national and international centres of excellence.


We are seeking a highly motivated researcher with a track record of conducting high-quality biological research, ideally in the area of neuroscience.

You will be expected to have evidence of academic achievement, for example in the form of high-quality publications.
