Responsibilities:


  • Conduct mental health assessments and screenings to evaluate individuals' emotional and psychological wellbeing.
  • Develop personalised treatment plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating therapeutic interventions and resources tailored to their specific needs.
  • Provide counseling, support, and crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing mental health crises or distress.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and access to appropriate mental health services within the community.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and community organisations to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision, guidance and support, reflecting the function of the team and Adult Social Care in accordance with policy, procedures, guidance and legislation.
  • Accountable for complex decision making and risk management in relation to caseloads ensuring professional judgement, evidencebased tools, critical reflection and analysis to inform this.
  • Attend and represent the department at a range of multidisciplinary forums and undertaking the role of Chair as required.

Requirements:


  • Social work degree or equivalent.
  • Mental Health Qualification
  • Member of the PVG scheme.
  • Registered with Scotland Social Service Council (SSSC).
  • Supervisory skills, as may supervise students, trainees, support staff and volunteers.
  • Analytic, planning and communication skills.
