My client had expanded every-single team within their Shared Services last year, and are now seeking a Payroll professional to support the UK Payroll Manager for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all payrolls for a designated business area,alongside supporting the project team with a ERP implementation.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll team for designated business area
  • Ensures the delivery of a high quality, customer focused payroll service in alignment with SLA's
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and their teams to facilitate delivery of accurate payroll
  • Maintain accurate payroll master data
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls
  • Preparation and issue of accurate reports on a timely basis in line with Service Level Agreement
  • Promote a Continuous Improvement culture within payroll team

Project Specific Responsibilities

  • Support the project team with their implementation of SAP Success Factors Payroll system with specific responsibility for:
  • Knowledge transfer from existing payroll provider
  • Developing and documenting standard operating processes
  • Parallel run / testing
  • Training of the new payroll team

What You'll Need

  • Excellent communication skills responding to queries from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of UK Payroll and HR legislation
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience of a payroll environment
  • Thorough and meticulous with extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues
