Job overview:
This is a permanent 8 hour post Saturday 3pm - 7pm and Sunday 3pm - 7pm Duties will vary i
e:
Clean ward areas, core areas and assisting in food service.
You will be required to work as part of a team and be flexible within your working approach e.g. cover for annual leave and sickness. Previous experience in a domestic or catering environment would be advantageous, if not training will be provided.

Main duties of the job:
- To be responsible for cleaning all areas in accordance with the NPSA national standards of
the needs of the ward / department.
- To be accountable for cleaning all areas in accordance with C.O.S.H.H. regulations.
- To be accountable for collecting daily rubbish and taking it to designated area.
- To undertake the washing up of mealtime dishes for patients.
- To be responsible for opening up or closing buildings as appropriate - this would only be in
- To be responsible for informing Porters / security or any security breaches if building is empty.
- To be accountable for ordering cleaning materials as and when required with your supervisor.
- To be responsible for keeping all equipment used in connection with duties in a clean and tidy
- To be responsible for bringing to the attention of the domestic supervisor, all faults on equipment.
- To provide details of any untoward incident to administrative / senior nursing staff.
