About the role:


  • There is an exciting opportunity within Health Services Laboratories SRA located at the Royal Free Hospital, to recruit an SRA Supervisor/ team Leader full time. Applications are invited from committed, motivated and enthusiastic individuals who wish to further their knowledge and skills in the provision of pathology services. The role will involve supervising the daily running of the multidisciplinary SRA within the RRL in liaison with the SRA manager and Deputy SRA Manager.
  • Main duties will be to organise, manage and lead the daily operation of the Sample Reception team, ensuring the effective daytoday operation of the department and making sure that service levels are met.
  • The role will involve ensuring that the sample reception team is technically trained to agreed standards, to manage/assess the technical performance/competency of the sample reception team and provide regular feedback to the Head of Department, to ensure that staffing levels are adequate for maximum effective daily operation and encourage, support and motivate staff to deliver agreed service levels to be familiar with the laboratory computer systems, including confident use of the test/client libraries, HSL intranet and referral database. General scanning, filing and archiving of request forms and other hard copy data.
