UAT Tester - Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)
Calex UK Ltd is a specialist training and consultancy organisation contracted to several market-leading automotive manufacturers.

We are currently seeking to recruit a UAT Tester to join the Future Retailer Systems Landscape team on a fixed term contract at Jaguar Land Rover in the Midlands.

One of the main responsibilities of this role is to support the testing of multiple short-term, but large intricate projects in the Future Retailer Systems Landscape pipeline, along with ensuring that the live Learning Management System runs without issues.

This role requires a person that is able to fully understand the requirements of specification documents, can translate issues into structured user stories / test cases and work alongside our supplier(s) to ensure alignment of any deliverables throughout our sprint cycles.

Along with the above, you will be developing testing procedures which includes the ability to plan and create Test Plans, Test Scripts, Test Cases, Test Scenarios, identify defects and troubleshoot issues.

Providing a high attention to detail especially whilst completing repetitive tasks
Comfortable working within a small team, motivated and hard working
Willing to learn on the job Desirable:
Previous experience with core, UAT, smoke & regression manual testing
Experience of triaging issues to identify the impact / severity
Understanding of Freshdesk or similar testing/issue tracking software
Ability to review change request documents to create test plans and scripts when needed
Experience of working with automated test tools (Microsoft Test Manager, Azure Dev Ops)

This is a Hybrid role where you will work an approx. 60/40 split (office / home working).

When in the office you will need to be able to work across multiple JLR sites including Whitley, Lutterworth and Gaydon.

Salary & Benefits

Work schedule for this role is Monday to Friday and provides an excellent remuneration package, 25 days holiday plus employee benefit scheme.
