Description
We are looking to hire an Axiom Developer in London within our technology division on a contract basis.

The Technology Division is responsible for:

  • Supporting, maintaining, and enhancing existing business systems;
  • Delivering and deploying new systems, technologies, and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Managing the delivery of complex development contributing to the technical solution from design through to code level.
  • Deliver well tested technical JIRAs.
  • Contribute to design and refinement sessions; interact with users to understand their needs.
  • Contribute to estimation and design forums.
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in highly innovative and fast paced environment.
  • Work in a geographically dispersed team.
  • Support automated system testing, user testing, and production implementation.
  • Provide L2/3 support.
  • Challenge, innovate and help drive our deliveries and shape our technical direction.
  • Issue tracking and resolution.
  • Meeting with key users to determine and implement system changes or report design.
  • Proactively working/managing system performance enhancement.
  • Liaison with vendors regarding solution implementation.
  • Maintaining and developing documentation for the team.
  • Supporting business users for adhoc queries and analysis.
  • Assist the project manager in delivery of key projects.

KEY SKILL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Hands on experience of working with AxiomSL regulatory reporting solutions in: Market Risk, AnaCredit, FinStat, FinRep.
  • Experience of working on XBRL reporting, taxonomy with various European and UK regulators (e.g. EBA, CBI)
  • Working experience with AxiomSL ControllerView v10.
  • Experience in Data Warehousing and ETL Technologies. Strong. understanding of databases (PostgreSQL or Oracle) and windows/Unix shell scripting.
  • Understanding of general ledgers, balance sheets and finance systems and/or regulatory rules.
  • Effective communication, relationship and strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly selfmotivated and demonstrating excellent problemsolving abilities.
  • Willingness to accept responsibility and work as part of a team.
  • Strong client service focus and willingness to respond to queries and provide deliverables within prompt timeframes.
  • The ability to work well under pressure to provide timely and accurate solutions.
  • Flexibility to deal with changing priorities and multitask.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and adhere to priorities despite conflicting requests.
  • Able to appropriately raise and discuss issues.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Qualification & Background/Work Experience:


  • Experience working as part of a global team across multiple countries, cultures and timezones.
  • Manage full lifecycle of development activities including project initiation. requirements, build, test, implementation and BAU handover.
  • Experience with Agile delivery.
  • Experience of working within Banking/Finance.
