Venn Group's specialist Public Sector Legal Team are working with a Local Authority in the Midlands seeking a
Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer for an initial duration of
3 months, with a strong likelihood of extension thereafter.

This Authority are ideally seeking someone to join them on a
full-time basis, however those offering part time hours may also be considered.

The Organisation encourage a
hybrid arrangement that is
predominantly remote working but with
office presence once per week.

This assignment is for an hourly rate of
up to £55 per hour Umbrella, dependent on the individuals relevant experience.

Please note Local Authority experience is essential for this role.

Duties may include:

Assisting with a varied commercial contracts caseload involving both complex and general legal work relating to commercial contracts
Negotiating and drafting legal documents including agreements and settlements
Providing legal advice on behalf of the Local Authority on contractual matters and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
Drafting contract clauses and negotiating with third parties as and when required
