Meraki Talent is engaged with a reputable financial services company to appoint a professional and polished Head of People to their Human Resources team.
Our client is seeking an experienced Head of People to lead strategic and operational HR matters across multiple areas.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Providing leadership and management for the people strategies in various areas. It includes overseeing strategic initiatives, and HR policies, and providing expert professional advice to managers and staff. Effective HR and central administration are also part of this responsibility.
- HR functions, such as policy development, employee relations, staff development, recruitment, and advising managers on employment law issues.
- Focus on training and development initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of the workforce. Wellbeing programs to support the overall health and wellbeing of staff are also part of this responsibility.
- Oversee central administration tasks related to HR, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place.
Essential Requirements:
Experience:
- Senior management experience, demonstrating the ability to operate at a strategic level.
- HR management experience, including policy development, payroll, employee relations, staff development, and recruitment.
- Advising managers on employment law issues such as disciplinary procedures, absence management, capability, and grievances.
Qualifications:
- CIPD Diploma Level 7 or equivalent qualification.
- Chartered Member of CIPD.
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Skills:
- Strong planning, coordination, and ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
- Leadership skills to motivate and inspire others.
- Ability to handle difficult situations, collaborate with staff to find solutions.
- Sound knowledge of employment law and data protection legislation.
- Proficiency in literacy, numeracy, and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Budget management experience and ability to contribute to budget setting.
- Selfmotivated, proactive, caring, compassionate, and empathetic.
- Excellent communication skills to support clients in a personcentred manner.
