Loganair operates a comprehensive network of scheduled and charter flights around the United Kingdom and Europe.

It continues to grow, and it now has around 850 members of staff, in various departments, including, Engineering, Flight Operations, Ground and Customer Services, Safety and Compliance, Commercial, Finance and Operations.

We have stations throughout the United Kingdom.


Applications are welcome for a part-time Operations Controller to join the Operations Control Centre team based in our Glasgow Airport Head Office.

The primary function of the role is to ensure a safe and punctual operation in accordance with OMA and Operation Procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Working within the Operations Control Centre (OCC), you are responsible for the delivery of a safe and punctual operation in accordance with the OMA and Operating Procedures, on a costeffective basis.
  • Allocate aircraft registrations considering maintenance requirements and crew slip patterns, giving priority to commercial requirements.
  • Proactively manage the flight schedule by maintaining the company flight following system (N-OC)
  • Monitor weather and NOTAM's as appropriate to the operation, to minimise potential disruption.
  • Notify all affected parties of delays and significant events, ensuring all relevant company and service providers are advised of the status of the flying programme.
  • Daily maintenance of flight plans.
  • Maintain crew regulatory compliance in line with UK CAA regulations alongside the Crew Controller.

Requirements:


  • The ability to act proactively and with limited direct supervision, while at the same time recognising when matters need to be referred to more senior managers.
  • The written and oral communication skills necessary to initiate and respond to correspondence and to deal with other forms of communication.
  • The ability to work accurately with detailed information and to ensure that practical tasks are effectively implemented.
  • Eliterate and competent in developing, administering and using PC and associated networks and systems to acquire, manipulate and disseminate information. Proficiency with MS Office tools.
  • Operational knowledge of crewing and resource allocation system.
  • Relevant previous experience in a similar role although not essential is an advantage.
  • Educational qualifications that demonstrate proficiency in English Language and numerical skills.
  • It is essential that you are able to obtain and maintain security clearance for airside passes at numerous airports.
