We are looking for an enthusiastic person who loves working with Animals to join our dynamic and hard-working team at the Chalkwell Kennels.

We have full and part time roles available:
Full Time- working on a 3 on 2 off shift pattern:
Part Time - working Saturday's and Sunday's - 08:00 to 18:00
About the role of Kennel Assistant:
It is the Kennel Assistant's role to look after the welfare of animals in our care from cleaning, grooming and feeding to one-to-one enrichment - be that play time, exercise or just a cuddle.
There is a high degree of cleaning in this role including cleaning the kennels/cat units, exercise runs and general housekeeping of the kennel and cattery environment to the high standard that we pride ourselves on.
This job isn't glamorous - mud, paw prints and pet hairs are part of the uniform - but the interaction and bonds you build with the animals is hugely rewarding.
With access to training and the ability to gain qualifications, you can grow in confidence and take on more responsibility.

Essential Skills:
- Team worker, who is active and reliable
- Able to communicate will with customers and colleagues at all levels
- Able to handle all breeds and sizes of dogs and cats
- Able to follow our standard operating procedures when performing your duties
- Smart, clean and tidy in appearance
- Polite and proactive when engaging with customers
- Committed to selfdevelopment as we aim to maintain our outstanding reputation for excellence
- You will need to have the right to work in the UK with a 5 year checkable history.
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience in animal welfare
- Canine/feline first aid certification
- Evidence of further education
