We currently have a great opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our reputable clients production management team working from their Engineering site in Blackburn which manufactures various metal-based products as part of their overall productionprocess.

Key aspects of the role are monitoring, managing and developing a dedicated team ensuring production demands are achieved whilst delivering high levels in quantity and quality which meets production demands.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and develop team members across the department including recruitment, staff appraisals, performance reviews, grievances and disciplinary procedures.
  • Manage and evaluate KPI's to ensure they are in line with organisational requirements.
  • Ensure products meet deadlines and is responsible for updating team of any delays.
  • Develop training and development plans to ensure that all employee's relevant needs are identified and are trained to the required standard.
  • Ensure the quality of product is being managed in order to meet customer expectation.
  • To ensure that safe systems of work are in place in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.

Personal Attributes:

  • A sound understanding of modern lean manufacturing process and disciplines.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Background working within manufacturing.
  • A good understanding of modern lean manufacturing process and disciplines.
  • Ability to work in a teamoriented environment.
  • Proactive with a positive mindset and 'can do' attitude.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Hours:
07:00 - 16:00pm Monday to Thursday - Friday 7:00 - 12:45
