Job summary:


  • UKSV has an exciting opportunity to join as the Head of Delivery, Performance and Engagement, leading an experienced team enjoying both growth and innovation based at the heart of national security for the government. You will become an essential member of the senior leadership team and a vital component to the transformation of the organisation. You will work collaboratively with cross department teams, encouraging knowledge sharing and establishing continuous improvement throughout UKSV.

Job description:


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing effective leadership in the visionary direction, seeking opportunities to improve the quality of output and overall performance and coordinating planned changes in the development of UKSV's delivery plan.
  • Creating and embedding processes and policies in support of UK Security Vetting's mission, embedding a customer
- centric and continuous improvement culture and organisational planning within UKSV's Delivery team.

  • Proactively anticipating demand, generating and updating service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring balance of delivery meets with the available resource and cost models.
  • Monitoring service delivery, challenging current process and work practices to ensure the client's needs are met by keeping strong communication channels throughout delivery.
  • Exercising incident management, business continuity and disaster recovery plans to identify any service continuity vulnerabilities, developing and implementing necessary improvements.

Person specification:

To be successful within the role of Head of Delivery, Performance and Engagement within UK Security Vetting, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Thriving leadership skills, both of high performing teams and corporately, that inspire and enable people to deliver exceptional performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport and trust with clients and stakeholders when required.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and manage teams to achieve various KPI measures with successful outcomes
  • Ability to demonstrate senior operational management and leadership in a similar delivery environment.
  • Be highly collaborative, creating an inclusive environment and building effective partnerships both internally and externally with a strong focus on continuous improvement

Desirable:

  • Firsthand experience of delivering cultural change within a large organisation
  • Experience of supporting organisations through significant business transformation
