Salary:
Up to £34,500 dependent on experience + bonus + benefits)
Hybrid working pattern:
Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working - typically 2/3 days a week on site
The opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within in the Major Equipment Procurement (MEP) function of MBDA. You will join our diverse department and work collaboratively with our suppliers around the world.
MEP is a fast-paced and dynamic department to work inwhere no two days are the same.
This is a great opportunity to develop a broad skillset in a wide range of scenarios on a global scale, with future opportunities for career progression.
The role will see you pro-actively managing critical supplier subcontracts and obligations, developing and maintaining long term, open, collaborative and commercially robust business relationships with suppliers to ensure the on time, on cost, on qualitydelivery of bespoke high value sub-systems and services.
You will manage subcontracts (including drafting, amending, negotiating and managing terms and conditions), hold the supplier to account for their performance and resolve any issues, provide commercial guidance to internal stakeholders and generate supplierstrategies which deliver value for money.
What we're looking for from you:
- Experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain-related role
- Experience in contract management not essential but must be willing to learn
- Problem solving in an exciting commercial environment
- Reporting and cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to influence and manage multiple relationships
- Analysing situations and be adept at understanding and presenting different possibilities, balancing risk
