Description
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and motivated individual to join the Patient Safety Team.

The post will work closely with governance teams and services to ensure the administration of the incident process is managed effectively on a day-to-day basis.


The post offers an opportunity to be part of a close-knit positive team that is passionate about how we support staff to ensure patient safety across the Health Board.


The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Providing daily support to the admin function of the Incidents Team; providing high quality, comprehensive technical, administrative and clerical support.
  • Overseeing the weekly Incident Learning Panel process. Responsible for collating all relevant documentation from the services, scheduling panel dates, producing agendas, minute taking, uploading actions and providing feedback.
  • Responding to adhoc requests for information and producing or contributing to a variety of highlevel strategic quality reports.
  • Maintaining systems (databases/spreadsheets and RL Datix) ensuring that all information is captured allowing detailed statistical analysis reports to be produced.
  • Exchange sensitive/confidential information with senior managers, maintaining confidentiality according to BCUHB and Statutory requirements.
  • To be responsible for autonomous case management of Welsh Government & Delivery Unit nationally reportable incidents from inception to completion ensuring that data is entered promptly, correctly, uploaded and it is kept accurate and up to date during each stage of the process.
  • Provide cover in the absence of the administration team and support the Patient Safety Manager.
