Description
NG Bailey have an opportunity for an experience Quality Inspector (Electrical & Instrumentation) to join the MEH Alliance on the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station project.
The Quality Inspector is Responsible for monitoring and reporting compliance with quality standards and procedures all installation, calibration and testing processes of electrical and instrumentation scope.
Recommend methods to improve overall quality and assists in analysing quality concerns. Monitor and assist construction to achieve quality standards.Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
- Liaise with client's representative for conducting of day to dayinspection during the construction activities.
- Ensure installation of equipmentis in compliance withECS Code, drawings, vendorand code requirementswith respect to; material, alignment, etc.
- Assist QC manager and Area Leads in executing theirresponsibilities.
- Maintaining LTQR's as required during inspections ensuring all signatures on LTQR and ITPduring inspection.
- Updating SONIM register as required.
- Champion Foreign Material Exclusion, preventing ingress or entrapment of nonspecified materials, loose items or debris in equipment and /or systems during assembly and testing.
Requirements:
- Qualifications in Electrical/Electronics/instrumentation, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).
- Significant experience of Quality Control during the installation, inspection and testing of electrical and instrument systems associated with process plant during construction and operation to include; motors, pumps, transformers, DBs, cabling, electronic and pneumatic equipment, analogue and digital control systems, relay based and solid statelogic systems, transmitters, control valves, etc.
- Knowledge of ATEX directive, preferably attended relevant ATEX competency course.
- Major Project Experience,
- Nuclear Experience beneficial
