Mitie Telecoms are now leading providers of acquisition, design and construction (ADC) services, specialist managed services of temporary mobile infrastructure, and facilities maintenance for telecoms.

The teams design, installation and maintenance experience coupled with Mitie's leading technology and scale has created a new force in telecoms and numerous exciting opportunities to be part of a growing organisation.


Due to continued growth we are looking for a Telecoms Construction Buyer to join the team, based at one of our Hub Offices in either Glasgow, Manchester, Doncaster, Birmingham, or Telecoms HQ in Tewkesbury.

What are the main responsibilties of the Telecoms Construction Buyer?


As the Telecoms Construction Buyer you will have responsibility for the procurement of materials and plant to service project requirements, demonstrating value for money through competitive tendering, negotiation and pricing analysis, to minimise risk and maximise commercial opportunity.

What are the key skills we would like our Telecoms Construction Buyer to have?

It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of buying with a good understanding of construction projects and materials.

A good knowledge of the construction sector and that you also have the following skills & experience:


  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Clear and accurate communication skills
  • Knowledge of market rates and prices
  • Analytical and accurate in your approach to work tasks
  • Supporting the development of procurement project strategy
