We are SSCL, the largest provider of business-critical support services to our Government, Police and Defence customers. Delivering digital solutions and developing innovations that make things easier for our customers.

We are currently looking for a Programme Lead that will sit across 3 major workstreams that fit into a high-profile Transformation Programme.

The workstreams are Cloud Hosting and Infrastructure; Pensions and Compensation and MI and Data workstreams andthis role will be accountable for the delivery of these.

We want to digitally transform military personnel pay and administration, veterans' pensions and related services for military personnel including reservists, and veterans.

The role will entail the management of RAID items and delivering baseline plans and outcomes through the successful delivery of projects of very high complexity by directing, leading and driving the project delivery teams.

What you'll be doing:

Establishing a coherent and efficient programme team and programme governance structure, engaging the customer, other peers within SDC and subcontractors at leadership and executive (C) levels to promote and influence a collaborative programme deliveryculture. Evolving the Governance of the in scope workstreams to reflect the real time needs of the Programme.
Guiding and advising project managers and project leaders, ensuring that effective project controls are established and maintained for all projects within their span of control, each with opposing priorities and different customers
Effectively engaging the customer, subcontractors, third parties and project stakeholders throughout the duration of each project, developing positive, enduring relationships (up to and including "C" level)
Ensuring that a clear understanding of each work stream and projects' progress, plans, risk and status are regularly, clearly and accurately reported, remediating conflicts and exceptions whenever vital
Management of the baseline budget and early identification and resolution of any RAID challenges which threaten the timeline of the Programme delivery

What you'll bring:

Programme Delivery into a large public sector client with multiple and complex workstreams
Ability to empower and keep people accountable
Experience of delivering against tight deadlines within a high priority programme
Prior experience of delivering implementation projects
Ability to work within a matrix management organisation

Employment Type:12 month Fixed Term Contract

Location: 3 days a week in Gosport and the rest of the week from home

Up to £100,000 per annum
