_ This role is advertised for 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday (with occasional overtime opportunities during the weekend) across Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Birmingham. And with that in mind, having a driving licence is essential for this role._

Job purpose


The Mobile Cleaners Team Leader will be responsible for the performance of the current team of four mobile cleaners who provide services across Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Birmingham.

This role will be split between delivering cleaning tasks and managing and supporting the wider mobile team.

What you'll be doing:


  • Undertaking cleaning tasks as required such as carpet cleans, upholstery cleaning, hard floor cleaning, cover cleans and reactive cleaning.
  • Line management of mobile cleaning team to include recruitment, training, holiday management and ongoing development of mobile cleaners.
  • Working with the Area Cleaning Managers build and train a network of onsite colleagues capable of supporting the mobile team across our areas of operation.
  • Quality checks of work performed by team with coaching if required to improve standards
  • Work alongside the Operations Administrator to ensure rotas are efficient, comply with WTD and balance the business needs with colleagues worklife
  • Work with the Operations Manager to investigate potential new service lines or revenue opportunities
  • Where required support quotes and estimates to enable a quick turnaround. This will include being customer facing to discuss and agree works.
  • Vehicle audits to ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and presented to a high standard

  • Previous experience in a similar role and experience of managing people
  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
  • A high degree of customer focus and dedication to high standards of customer service
  • Computer literate and able to communicate effectively
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and work well in a team
  • A handson, cando attitude and a positive, motivated disposition
  • Full driving licence essential for the role
