Operating from a purpose-built Centre of Excellence facility in Glasgow, GWS has a vastly experienced management team and welding technicians qualified to the highest industry standards.


Furthermore, an exciting opportunity has now arisen for a highly competent and experienced Administrator to join our team based in Glasgow area.


Main duties and responsibilities:


  • Manage monthly ERP processes. (Work orders, sales orders, purchasing, expenses, allocation, and invoicing)
  • Provide general support to GMS management team
  • Maintenance of shop floor timesheets and overtime.
  • Administration support to the operations office including making enquiries, purchasing, goods receipting, and liaising with suppliers.
  • Assist with stock control, calibration records, training, and work in progress.
  • Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, scanning etc.
  • Track stock of office supplies and place orders where necessary.
  • Comply with all company procedures and policies.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience of using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is required
  • Previous administration experience, preferably in an engineering environment
  • Qualifications in office administration would be an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, multitask and consistently meet strict deadlines
  • First rate communication, organisation, and team player skills
  • Demonstrable analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly within a reactive operations team
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload
  • IT literate with specific experience using Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint programs.
