MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST
Main Purpose of the Job
To be a proactive part of the Apprenticeship team supporting the delivery of Apprenticeships in all areas.
To be a point of contact for Apprentices, Employers and the delivery team in updating documentation and online tracking and monitoring systems to a high standard meeting quality and compliance.
- Check Enrolment packs prior to submission to MIS and conduct regular audits of
- Set up and monitor / Manage apprenticeship learners on the E-Portfolio system and paper packs.
- To support the implementation of outstanding Safeguarding practice (including health, safety and welfare) with designated staff/ departments responsible including for
- To followup on and where appropriate referral to any health and safety issues/concerns identified as part of apprentice progress reviews or by any other means.
- To support in the collation and checking of the coinvestment payments and levy payments working with both the MIS and Finance teams.
- To contribute to apprentice engagement and induction activities including college open days, school events / visits and promotional events off site which may include some weekends and celebration ceremonies.
General Duties:
- To take part in Team meetings 1:1 and be involved in College staff development and training schemes and participate in PDR procedures within the School.
- To adhere to the College's Single Equality Scheme with respect to staff and students.
- To comply with and implement the College's Health and Safety policy.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications:
Essential Desirable
Personal skills in English, Mathematics and ICT by holding
Level 2 qualifications with a 5-year currency (or by undertaking initial assessments at job interview stage and - by achieving Level 2 within one year of their appointment date as appropriate)
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Essential Desirable
Experience of working in an office environment using
- administrative systems, including Information Technology
Experience of dealing and working directly with people
- and providing services to a wide range of clients
Experience of using Microsoft IT packages to a high
- standard of quality and accuracy
Experience of working within the Further/Higher Education
- field
Skills and competencies:
Essential Desirable
- face contact, and to maintain good working relationships
Ability to undertake efficient administration, including - statistical / monitoring support, using electronic and paper
- based systems
The ability to use word-processing, spread sheet and - database packages accurately
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team - with the confidence to seek guidance when needed
Ability and willingness to use own initiative and to prioritise - work to meet deadlines without constant supervision, after appropriate training
A high standard of written and spoken English, with the - ability to communicate effectively with a range of clients orally and in writing.
